Rockefeller Offers New Certificate
International Health and Human Rights
To address the growing demand for interdisciplinary solutions to our contemporary world challenges, Rockefeller College has collaborated with the University at Albany's Global Institute for Health and Human Rights and School of Public Health to offer the Graduate Certificate in International Health and Human Rights. The Graduate Certificate in International Health and Human Rights is a program for students and professionals who hope to gain practical knowledge in the fields of health and human rights. The primary objective of the program is to provide professionals and students with a framework for understanding health and human rights as a single issue area and for advocating that access to quality health care is a human right - regardless of wealth, power, status, standing or tradition. Recent Grads Aim to Enhance Student and Alumni Experience
Volunteers contribute to College programming
A group of recent Rockefeller College graduates gathered in the fall of 2014 at an all-hands meeting to brainstorm ideas to enhance the student and alumni experience. The group, spearheaded by Rockefeller College advisory board members, Donald E. Boyce III, BS '06, MPA '08 and Michael Cassidy, BA '08, MPA '10, broke into two subgroups focusing on undergraduate student engagement and recent alumni career services -- issues that are very much in line with the strategic priorities of the College. After several months of collaboration, we are pleased to announce that a number of proposed initiatives will launch this fall. Under the category of undergraduate student engagement, these initiatives include a Living-Learning Community dinner series; an alumni mentoring program; and a faculty-student lunch series. Under the category of recent alumni career services, these initiatives include an enhanced job board and online career forum; and a Professional in Residence Brown Bag Series. The College is appreciative of the great work performed by the volunteers, and looks forward to continued collaboration with the recent graduate group. The next all-hands alumni conference call is scheduled to take place this fall. The more hands and ideas, the merrier, so stay tuned for the date, and plan to join us. Those interested should email
