Sharon is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree here at the University at Albany and joined the Berglund Lab in early 2019 as a part time research technician. Sharon is helping to manage the lab and keeps everything running smoothly. She also works on various projects within the lab including the small molecule screen for Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1. Sharon won the first annual Women in Science and Health (WISH) award (undergrad) for her essay on balancing excellence in Science and Life. She was also an RNA Undergraduate Summer Fellowship for summer 2019.
