Snow Emergency - Mass Transit Operations

When the University declares classes cancelled before the start of the academic day, all University at Albany bus routes are cancelled. Notice to the campus community is provided through Twitter, PMTS website and GPS monitors.

When the University declares classes cancelled or suspended after the start of the academic day, PMTS provides 1-2 hour notice through Twitter, PMTS website, GPS monitors and bus operators to the campus community that bus service will be cancelled, suspended, or minimized. Most of these are linked through the UAlbany Alert System.

Routes will be minimized or cancelled in the following order:

Route 5: Shopping Shuttle (Thursday only: 4:30-10:30p) - Cancelled.

Route 3: Health Sciences Campus - Due to the complexity and distance of this route, which includes traveling over the Dunn Memorial Bridge, service is cancelled on Route 3.

Route 1: Downtown Campus/Alumni Quad - CDTA #11 provides service on Western Ave and CDTA #12 on Washington Ave, therefore service on Route 1 is cancelled accordingly.

Route 2: Uptown Campus - PMTS attempts to operate this route as much as possible but will be cancelled/minimized as necessary due to weather and roadway conditions.

Please check the News & Alerts section of this website frequently for inclement weather updates.
