Concert in the Round - March 8
Department Performance - Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 7pm
The UAlbany Concert Band performs in the Arena Theatre where the audience surrounds the band and no one is more than four rows away from the music. The program will include Charles Parker Peters’s American Legion (March), Robert Sheldon’s Beyond the Higher Skies, Arthur Benjamin’s Jamaican Rumba, Tyler Arcari’s Beacons (Guiding Lights), Scott Joplin’s The Entertainer and Claude T. Smith’s Serenade and Dance. Also featured will be Band director Kevin R. Champagne’s Octopercussiocity as well as selections from the musical Rent which is being produced by the Department with performances from March 2 through 5.
