Orientation Registration

Please follow the steps below to register for an Orientation date.

  1. Pay your admissions deposit.
  2. Set up your NetID and password. This information will be sent to your personal email.
  3. After May 1st, visit the Welcome Website at www.albany.edu/welcome. Here you will find a check list with all the steps that new students need to complete before coming to campus, including Orientation!
  4. On the Orientation section of the Welcome Website you will be given clear instructions on how to access the Orientation registration system.
  5. During your Orientation registration, you will be asked about your living community preference for your first year. If you are interested in a Living-Learning Community, you can learn more about the available options on the Living-Learning Community website.
  6. You will also be asked several questions that will help your advisor understand your academic goals and begin to build a class schedule for you. Please read the New Freshman Advisement Information website to help you properly answer these questions.
  7. Immediately after submitting your Orientation registration, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include important information including when and where to arrive for Orientation, a map, and a parking pass.

Note: Please allow two business days between the payment of your admissions deposit and registering for Orientation. Our systems need two days to process your deposit and update with your information. If you have any questions about this, please contact us at orientation@albany.edu.
