Training

As the University at Albany makes this change from the legacy system, COEUS to PACS, Sponsored Programs Administration is committed to providing flexible training options to our various campus stakeholders.

On a regular basis, this page will be updated with new training dates and corresponding training documentation for our faculty and staff. To self-register for dates that fit into your personal schedules, please click on the date you would like and complete the registration form. The forms will close automatically when room capacity is reached. Note: Registration for these opportunities is required as they will be canceled if no one has committed to attend. Also, given the limited availability of campus computer labs some sessions will require a personal laptop.

As you will see we have broken the training sessions into three main categories. The first is training for our research engaged faculty. These trainings will be tailored to focus on the required elements of proposal generation and submission in the system.

The second grouping focuses on our campus administration staff members who will be reviewing proposals for accuracy, compliance and/or working with our faculty on a daily basis to prepare their proposals. These sessions will point the administration staff toward areas that they will need to pay particular attention toward such as budgeting, proposal attachments, and credit distribution.

The third group includes training for our campus reviewers of proposals before submission to a sponsor. We currently will not be providing regular dates for training registration as seen with our faculty and administrator populations. If you are a reviewer and would like one-on-one training, you may email pacssupport@albany.edu.

Furthermore, Sponsored Programs Administration is committed to meet individual training needs of all our campus stakeholders, and welcomes, if needed to train one-on-one when the below dates do not fit into your schedule.
