In a few words, explain what the program means to you:

In high school, I was a part of STEP and it made such a difference in my life. The opportunities made available to me were tremendous. I joined CSTEP because of the very same reasons. I knew that it would greatly impact my life and only help me succeed in the future. This summer I had an opportunity to participate in research through CSTEP's summer research program at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Albany. It was a wonderful experience and I'm a forever grateful for the opportunity because I was invited back for the year. CSTEP has opened doors for me in so many ways that without it I don't know where I would be. I also had the opportunity to participate in the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) through CSTEP. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with professionals in the field I want to pursue, listen to advice from professionals, present my research and network with many schools offering the degree I'm pursuing. Without CSTEP, I wouldn't have had that opportunity to network and get exposed to a plethora of opportunities at ABRCMS.
