ALBANY, N.Y. (March 10, 2006) -- As University at Albany students camp overnight at the RACC for the 1,000 free tickets to the March 11 America East Championship face-off between UAlbany and the University of Vermont, faithful UAlbany alumni have taken on the task of bringing the students comfort -- in the form of doughnuts and hot chocolate.

The UAlbany Alumni Association is partnering with Chartwells to feed Great Danes fans. Alumni, Varsity Club members, and Alumni Association staff will be handing out hundreds of Krispy Kreme donuts and hot chocolate to students camping out waiting for their free ticket.

The University at Albany's broad mission of excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, research and public service engages more than 17,000 diverse students in nine degree-granting schools and colleges.
