Biography:

Mary B. Valentis is director of the Center for Humanities, Arts, and TechnoScience (CHATS). She lectures in writing, literature, popular culture, and film and has taught courses on Joseph Campbell, the author often cited as George Lucas' inspiration for the mythology of Star Wars.

A former reporter and columnist, Valentis is co-author of Brave New You (New Harbinger, 2001) and Romantic Intelligence: How to be as Smart in Love as You are in Life (New Harbinger, 2003), and can offer expert analysis on interpersonal relationships.
