Faculty International Teaching and Research Opportunities

The Center for International Education and Global Strategy is pleased to present information on international teaching and research opportunities for faculty. Many of our partner universities are eager to host UAlbany faculty as teachers and visiting researchers and have extended invitations to visit their respective institutions. In many instances, these opportunities come with funding and allow for varying lengths of stay.

There are many compelling reasons to consider teaching or doing a research stint at a partner university, including the following:

  • To meet and/or renew relationships with counterparts abroad with whom research collaboration may be possible.
  • To collaborate with other research faculty in pursuing grant funding from sources in the host jurisdiction, eg., EU or other government funding.
  • To gain global insights on issues in the discipline in question that can be returned to the classroom here at UAlbany.
  • To access equipment and research sites necessary for research that are not available at UAlbany.

Faculty may pursue these opportunities during break periods or during sabbaticals. We therefore strongly encourage faculty to take advantage of these opportunities.

Please know that this list of opportunities will be continuously updated as more institutions interested in hosting UAlbany faculty become known. Faculty who may be aware of other such opportunities are welcome to share the information so that it can be included in this list.
