Ignacio Cases



Research interests

Ignacio Cases is a PhD student in SUNY Albany in Anthropology, where he is doing research on Anthropological Linguistics with a topic centered in developing a computational approach to Maya writing. He has long been interested in Mesoamerican writing systems, Ethno and Archaeoastronomy, and Semiotics. Cases has worked in several sites in the Maya area, and is currently serving as co-epigrapher in the archaeological project Peten Norte-Naachtun.
