Honors College Peer Assistance Program

The Honors College Peer Assistance Program was founded in 2016 by Amanda Helak and Virginia Cooney. The goal of the program is to help incoming first-year Honors College students with their transition from high school to college by connecting them with second-year Honors College students.

Peer assistants are available to answer student questions about the Honors College and UAlbany during the summer as well as during the school year. Peer assistants also provide technical support to incoming students, including guidance on setting up email accounts and registering for classes.
