In her research and teaching Dr. Veeder (PhD, University at Albany) focuses on Holocaust and genocide studies, modern Europe, women and gender studies and human rights. Her research analyzes prejudice and discrimination, resistance within genocide and the Holocaust, and the Jewish community of France before and during the Second World War. She has performed research through fellowships with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Claims Conference, the Auschwitz Jewish Center, and Northwestern University's Holocaust Educational Foundation Institute. She studied human rights and history at the London School of Economics and Political Science and NYU, and held a position within the United Nations Department of Political Affairs where she was responsible for research regarding human rights and genocide prevention.
