Professional Development

The GSA provides professional development support to students primarily by offering funds to Recognized Graduate Student Organizations to hold events such as panel discussions, guest speakers and research conferences. Some RGSOs also provide social and cultural activities to build the University community.

We also support student’s professional development directly through our grants program. Student may apply for both professional development or research grants to support their careers.

GSA is also in a position to serve graduate student’s professional lives through continued growth of the GSA network both on campus and off. Our partnerships with campus entities such as Career Services, the Office of Environmental Sustainability, Graduate Student Employees Union, and the Institute for Teaching, Learning and Academic Leadership, Library Services, among many others. These partners contribute to our newsletter, co-sponsor events, and provide important guidance for graduate students to succeed.
