GSA E-Board Elections for 2020 - 2021
are scheduled in Spring 2020


As a graduate student, you are a part of the Graduate Student Association (GSA), which represents you and advocates for your diverse interests and research to the university. The GSA will be holding important elections for the following open positions:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Lead Senator
  • Chair, Equity & Inclusion
  • University Council Representative

Do you know someone who would be a good advocate? Are you interested in influencing the direction of the university? Nominate yourself or someone you know online! It only takes a moment to fill out a brief form on MyInvolvement here.

Some Important Dates!

  • Calls for Nominations will open on Friday, February 7th at 9AM and end on Wednesday, February 19th at 5PM.
  • We ask that all nominees submit a short bio and recent photo to gsaelectionscommittee@albany.edu by February, 27th
  • On Tuesday March 24th at 12:00PM in the Campus Center Board Room, the Elections Committee will host a Candidate Forum where the nominees will have the opportunity to discuss their platforms and the GSA body can chat with nominees (Did we mention there will be food?)
  • Online voting opens on MyInvolvement on Thursday, March 26th at 9AM and will close on Thursday, April 2nd at 5PM.
  • Meeting with Ray Webb to review elections results will be on April 3rd
