Requirements for Admission to the M.S. Program

In addition to the general University requirements for admission to master's study described earlier in this bulletin, a college-level statistics course with a grade of B or better is required. Applicants must also submit official scores of the Graduate Record Examination. It is recommended that applicants have a score of 550 or better in the quantitative section of the exam. International applicants must submit scores on the TOEFL and the GRE before being considered for admission.

  6. Students are required to complete a field placement during which they work closely with a mentor in a health-related agency and with a faculty member.

Combined Baccalaureate-Master’s Degree Programs

Qualified undergraduates may apply for admission to the combined B.A. Economics, B.A. Psychology, or B.A. Sociology/M.S. Health Policy and Management or B.S. Economics/M.S. Health Policy and Management program and, if accepted, simultaneously work toward completion of the requirements for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
