AWARDS AND COMPETITIONS:

While the Times Union Race for Literacy will be a fun event for runners of all levels, we realize that a little bit of healthy competition can be a fun thing. So we've created individual and team divisions as follows:

Top 5 Overall Men and Women:

1^st place:  $250    2^nd place:  $200    3^rd place:  $150    4^th place:  $100    5^th place: $50

Additional Prizes in these Categories:

1. Open (Men & Women)
   Age groups (under 14, 15–19, 20–25, 26–30, 31–35, 36–40, 41–45, 46–50, 51–55, 56–60, 61–65, 65 and up)

2. School teams^* (Elemetary, High, College).
   5 members per team, top 3 finisher score.

3. Corporate Teams.
   5 members per team, top 3 score.

^*School teams are for registered students. Faculty and staff should form corporate teams.

The top 3 finishers in each division will win awards

There is no fee for team entries, but each member of the team must be registered individually.
Team captains should fill out the team entry declaration and mail entries together.

Back of the Pack Prizes:

Not likely to win the race? Coming in the top 3 of your age group a distant fantasy? Hey, finishing 3.1 miles and helping to expand the educational opportunities for area students is quite an achievement and deserves to be recognized!

We will be awarding prizes for those who come in just a little further back in the pack than the winners. So if you come in 100th, 150th, 200th, and so on, we'll have a very special prize for you. Be sure to stick around for the awards ceremony so you can be recognized for your accomplishment!

wins a 32" MAGNAVOX TV from FOX 23

KIDS' STAGE^* SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

There will be plenty of fun for the little ones too.
Be sure to stop by our kids' stage for lots of fun.

1:00 – 1:45	"Circus Times" with the Scotia Glenville Children's Museum. Magic, Music and audience participation.
2:00 – 2:45	"Song Time" — Touching and comical music about nature and everyday life.
3:00. – 4:00	Storytelling. *Located on west field
