Because the course is laid out as a point to point course (we don't start and finish in the same area), all registered runners will need to come to the grounds of the University at Albany between 7 and 9 a.m., to check in and prepare for the race.Parking will be available in the Dutch Quad lot of the University, at the Race Administration Tent. We'll have several bulletin boards where all registered runners will be listed alphabetically. Check for your name on the lists and see what your bib number is. Proceed to the check-in area of the Administration Tent and look for the sign which includes your bib number. After you pick up your bib and chip from that station, you'll get on one of our shuttle buses (starting at 8:15), which will take you down to the start area at Albany High where there will be a pre-race warm-up and entertainment. All runners must check in between 7 and 9 a.m. the day of the race.
NO CHIPS WILL BE HANDED OUT PRIOR TO THIS TIME and all runners MUST take a race shuttle to the start area. There are a number of other events at Albany High School that morning, and combined with the street closures for the run, parking will be nearly impossible. There will be NO transportation back to the start area after the race!
If you have not pre-registered, look for the DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION area at the administration tent. The fee for day of race registration is $20 and may be paid in cash or check (no credit cards).
LUGGAGE:
Since you may need to wear some warm-up clothing down to the start line that you may not wish to wear during the race, we will have a baggage collection site at the start area. You'll be provided with luggage tags along with your bib and chip when you check in. Hold on to your claim stub and pick up your clothes at the finish area.Please do not leave valuables in your baggage. Race sponsors and officials are not liable for lost or stolen items.
