President Hitchcock's Holiday Greeting

President Karen R. Hitchcock, appearing with her mother Mrs. Ruth Hitchcock, hosted the Countdown to 2000 Party to ring in the "New Year" as the year 2000 (un)officially arrived at the University at Albany, on Wednesday, December 15.          (click on photos for larger images)

Held in the atrium of the new library, the cost of admittance was a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry.          Faculty and staff enjoyed a "dress-down day" with lots of: .  .  . food,       .  .  . games,       .  .  . and surprises.

The University Chamber Singers sang holiday tunes     .  .  . and led carolling.     Findlay Cockrell played.
