Pulitzer-prize nominated journalist and author Prof. Samuel G. Freedman will be giving a talk on his work on April 9, 1997, 4:30-6:30. Professor Freedman teaches at Columbia University and is a frequent columnist for the New York Times and Rolling Stone. He is the author of Upon this Rock (winner of the Helen Bernstein Award) and Small Victories (a finalist for the National Book Award). His most recent book, The Inheritance: How Three Families and America Moved from Roosevelt to Reagan and Beyond, is a superb study of the ideological sea change we have lived through in recent decades. Freedman will speak at the Campus Center Assembly Hall, Uptown Campus, University at Albany. A reception in the Fireside Lounge will follow the presentation.
