Memorial Service to be Held at UAlbany

In recognition of those from the Albany community lost or missing during last week's terrorist attacks, the University at Albany will hold a special memorial service on Friday, September 21, at 12:30 p.m. in the Recreation and Convocation Center (RACC). It is free and open to the public.

Bishop Howard Hubbard of Albany's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception will deliver the sermon. Speakers from the Jewish, Protestant, Muslim, and Catholic faiths will also give readings. UAlbany's two a cappella singing groups, Earth Tones and Serendipity; Albany Pro Musica; and the Albany Police Pipe and Drum Band will perform.

Classes at UAlbany will be suspended during the hour-long ceremony.
