About
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for:
- Conducting prompt, impartial, equitable and thorough administrative investigations into complaints of unlawful discrimination, including sexual misconduct and retaliation complaints
- Developing investigation plans
- Advising Parties to a complaint of their rights to and options for support services, accommodations, other safety measures and internal and external reporting options
- Identifying and interviewing witnesses
- Collecting relevant evidence
- Appropriately documenting interviews and evidence
- Generating a comprehensive and detailed report of investigative findings
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with other institutional divisions to ensure the prompt and impartial adjudication of discrimination complaints
- Attending meetings on behalf of the Title IX Coordinator, as necessary
- Supporting institutional efforts to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including Title VI, VII, IX, the ADA, the Clery Act, NYS Ed. Law 129-b and other state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination, as well as university policies prohibiting discrimination, harassment, sexual violence and retaliation
