About Engage UAlbany

Contribute your time, talent and energy to a project or cause that's important to you. We all have something to offer, and great things happen when everyone pitches in to help improve lives in our community.

As an institution, we strive to aspire students, faculty and staff to give back to our local community and gain important life and leadership skills while promoting awareness of community needs and engaging our campus community in meaningful action.

Engage UAlbany, in collaboration with United Way of the Greater Capital Region, makes it easy to get involved in meaningful volunteer opportunities with nonprofit organizations in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie Counties surrounding our campus.

With a wide variety of organizations represented, you can connect with a cause that fits your skills, interests, and schedule. Find your next volunteer adventure, from one-time special events to ongoing commitments in our new volunteer platform.

Through Engage UAlbany, volunteer needs and events are posted in real time by community agencies and partners.

Over 100 partner organizations are already listed and interested student, faculty and staff can find requests for volunteers by interest, date, location, and organization. Using Engage UAlbany you are able to check in and out of most volunteer opportunities, track your volunteer hours, and view your service “resume.”
