Office of Environmental Health & Safety

The University at Albany Office of Environmental Health and Safety is a service organization dedicated to providing the expertise, advice, guidelines and current standards of professional practice, to ensure the safety and well being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors. Our goal is to prevent injury, illness, and environmental damage through the recognition, evaluation, and control of potential hazards arising from University activities, and to comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

    Monthly Safety Topic - September 2018

    Each month, EH&S prepares a one-page infographic on a specific safety topic for Facilities supervisors to review with their staff. The topic for September 2018 is the Hazard Communication/GHS. See the infographic here.

    EH&S Laboratory Safety Training

    EHS will hold Lab Safety Training for all interested PI's, Students and Research Staff, in Life Sciences room #1143 on September 14, 2018 from 10 - 12 AM.

    The Office of Environmental Health and Safety will be closed for regular business on October 8, 2018 in observance of Columbus Day!
