Occupational Health and Safety
The Occupational Health and Safety program objectives include improving the safety of the work environment through recognition, evaluation, and control of hazardous conditions; thus reducing the numbers and severity of injuries to students, faculty and staff through training and implementation of safe work practices. Our mission is to maintain a safe and healthful campus environment while complying with the regulatory requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and applicable state and local regulations.
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety can provide training and conduct job safety analyses to help make individuals aware of actions and conditions that may lead to an accident or injury.
Training and safety analyses are provided for University at Albany employees, faculty and staff only. Review our safety policies or contact us 518-442-3495 for further information.
