Wissman Honored for Research on Culturally Diverse Children’s Literature

Dr. Kelly K. WissmanAlbany, NY (November 27, 2017) - Kelly Wissman, associate professor in Literacy Teaching and Learning, received a 2017 Children's Literature Assembly Research Award, for her project “Names, Journeys, and Dreams: Engaging Families and Enhancing Literacy Learning with Culturally Diverse Children’s Literature.”

The Children’s Literature Assembly of the National Council of Teachers of English is a professional community of individuals who promote the importance of children’s literature in all aspects of children’s lives. This award recognizes original research addressing significant questions related to the field of children's literature.
