The Office of Diversity and Inclusion

Supports UAlbany’s commitment to Equity & Inclusion through

  • Providing support and resources for academic and professional staff recruitment and hiring efforts
  • Facilitates opportunities to dialogue and participate in activities and initiatives that encourage the exchange of different ideas and perspectives and promotes the development of inclusive working and learning environments.

The Office of Equity & Compliance

The Director of Equity & Compliance and Title IX Coordinate, Ameila Barbadoro, and members of the OEC team oversees University-wide compliance with University at Albany policies and state and federal laws that prohibit all forms of discriminatory behavior and sexual misconduct.

The Office of Equity and Compliance conducts unbiased investigations into allegations of workplace discrimination and sexual violence, and provides student and staff trainings related to these topics.
