Biography
Andrés Bernasconi (Chile), Ph.D. Professor of Higher Education at the School of Education of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and Research Associate with the Center for Research on Educational Policy and Practice of the same University, in Santiago, Chile http://www.ceppe.cl/. He has also served as Provost at Universidad Andrés Bello, in Chile, Vice-President for Research and Graduate Programs at Universidad Andrés Bello, Dean of the Law School of the Universidad de Talca, Chile, and Director of Institutional Research at Universidad Andrés Bello. Previously he was Research Associate at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Bernasconi has done research on Chilean and Latin American higher education, and has taught or carried out research or consulting work on higher education administration and policy in Argentina, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Indonesia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela. He is currently interested in higher education law and regulation, university governance, and organizational change in institutions of higher education. He holds degrees from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Harvard University and Boston University.
