Melissa Kelley is a Professional Development Coordinator at the Center for Public Health Continuing Education (CPHCE) at the University at Albany School of Public Health. She joined CPHCE in November 2019.  She has been a Health Educator for more than 17 years.  Melissa is a Certified Health Education Specialist with experience in curriculum development, training, and program planning. She has extensive knowledge of a number of health topics including women’s health, sex and sexuality, alcohol and other drugs, as well as public health models and theories. Prior to coming to the University at Albany, Melissa was a Health Educator at the University of Rochester and coordinated sexual violence initiatives at Union College in Schenectady, NY.

She earned an EdD in Human Development from the University of Rochester, a MS in Human Service Administration from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and a BS in Health Science/Community Health Education from SUNY Cortland. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Campus Safety and Violence Coalition for the American College Health Association and is an Adviser for the Chi Chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity at Cornell University.  Melissa has previously held executive board positions as the Senior Student Affairs Officer Liaison for the College Student Personnel Association of New York State (CSPA-NYS) and as Health Promotion Section Chair and President of the New York State College Health Association (NYSCHA).
