Julie provides video production services for the Center for Public Health Continuing Education. She has a background producing/directing for public, corporate, and independent media that includes the creation of documentary, episodic, and educational projects. Her award-winning work has screened nationally and internationally and includes featured spots on PBS NewsHour. She's a recipient of a national fellowship award from the College Art Association and is a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in Video. Julie is also a staff writer for the feminist film website agnés films and is a two-time finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. In addition to independent film work, Julie teaches documentary filmmaking at the undergraduate and graduate levels. When she isn't filmmaking or writing, Julie can be found hiking or sampling artisanal chocolate.

Julie received her BA cum laude from Smith College and her MFA from the University at Albany.
