As the implementation of the Health Reform proceeds, it is important for public health workers, health officials, and those working directly or tangentially in health care fields to understand the specific ways in which the Affordable Care Act will affect public health in New York State. 

This broadcast hosts the Commissioner of the NYSDOH, Dr. Nirav Shah, as well as Donna Frescatore, the Executive Director of the NYS Health Benefit Exchange to explain the implementation of Health Reform and the Health Benefit Exchange and the ways it will function to meet the needs of New Yorkers, discuss the expansion of Medicaid eligibility to those childless adults earning up to 133% of the federal poverty level and how that will  impact NYS, and review the ways in which Health Reform will impact NYS’s Prevention Agenda.
