UAlbany's Plans for Fall 2021

March 1, 2021

Dear Great Dane:

As we near spring midterms, we want to share with you the University’s plans for Fall 2021.

The University at Albany plans to resume in-person instruction as our primary mode of course delivery. We are excited that our students will again be able to take advantage of the vast academic, research and student life opportunities available across our campuses. Compliance with surveillance testing, mask-wearing and expanded vaccine availability will continue to be essential elements for the health and safety of our campus community.

In April, when the fall semester’s course schedule is released, you will see that class delivery for the fall will be largely in-person. Advance registration for the fall semester begins April 22, 2021.

Additionally, with the return of in-person instruction this fall, housing sign-up for on-campus residence halls and apartments has begun. You can find details and deadlines on the Res Life website.

As we have throughout our response to COVID-19, we remain committed to the health and safety of our campus community. Our shift back to regular in-person instruction this fall will be guided by public health guidance as well as federal and state guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to campus – in person – again this fall.
