University on Pause

University on Pause

November 10, 2020

To University Supervisors:

As the University enters a formal pause today, student activities, in-person instruction, and general student movement around campus will be greatly impacted as noted in the President’s message.

Administrative offices should continue to operate with minimal on-campus staffing as they have all semester, including student employees essential to continued operations. Supervisors will continue to use their discretion regarding who needs to be on campus as circumstances change. Employees are not prohibited from coming to campus, so those not deemed essential who need to come to campus occasionally may continue to do so.

While the University will continue to provide an environment that meets or exceeds recommended safety measures, personal behavior continues to be the best defense in stemming the spread: mask wearing, hand washing, maintaining distance from others and avoiding gatherings. These behaviors will remain critically important during the pause.

Health Screening Assessments and pooled surveillance testing will continue to be required for all those coming to campus.

Continue to monitor the University’s COVID-19 website for updates or call the COVID hotline with questions at 518-442-2683 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
