Dear Students,

As you know, following an increase in the number of presumptive positive COVID-19 cases at the University at Albany, on Tuesday, November 10 we went into full Pause. All classes are now being delivered in a fully remote modality and will continue remotely for the remainder of the fall semester. Please remember that instruction will end on Tuesday, November 24 and final exams will begin on Monday, November 30. 

Registration for Spring 2021 is now underway! Please check your MyUAlbany portal for your enrollment time and be sure to connect with your advisor to discuss your plans for the spring term and to get your AVN.

The university will continue the weekly pooled surveillance testing. If you are on campus, or will be coming to campus, please adhere to the following schedule to submit your sample:

Last Names Beginning With Testing Day Time Frame to Submit Your Saliva Sample
A to D Sunday between noon Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday
E to K Monday between noon Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday
L to Q Tuesday between noon Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday
R to Z Wednesday between noon Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday

Important Upcoming Deadlines before the end of the Fall 2020 Semester

  • Tuesday, November 24 is the Last Day for undergraduates to withdraw voluntarily from the University and receive “W” grades.

  • Classes are suspended from November 25 through November 29 for Thanksgiving.

  • Please review the Academic Calendar for important information about registration and important dates.

  • 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 17: CURCE Applying to Summer Research Workshop – This will be an interactive workshop where the CURCE team will help you identify and begin the application steps for Summer 2021 paid research opportunities across all majors! Join us on Zoom for the CURCE Workshop.

  • 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, November 19: A+ Tutoring Approaching Finals Workshop
