New York State Drive-Through Testing Site

The State Quad parking lot on UAlbany’s Uptown Campus is currently serving as a state-run, drive-through testing site. Appointments are required.

The drive-through testing site is a restricted area that only authorized personnel and individuals with an appointment are able to access. 

The site is run by the New York State Department of Health. Please contact the state hotline, listed above, with any questions.

 

New York State Walk-Through Vaccination Site

Beginning Friday, January 15, 2021, the Northwest Gold parking lot / Northwest Resident Student parking lot on UAlbany’s Uptown Campus will serve as a state-run, walk-through vaccination site — also known as a point of distribution (POD). Appointments are required.

New York State is distributing the COVID-19 vaccine in phases based on need and risk. Vaccine supplies will increase over time and are expected to be more widely available in spring or early summer 2021. Learn more about the vaccine.

The walk-through vaccination site will be a restricted area that only authorized personnel and individuals with an appointment will be able to access. Individuals who drive to the site will park their cars in the Northwest Gold lot but must get out to receive a vaccine inside the tent.

Information regarding vaccination eligibility for current UAlbany students and employees who are not currently eligible will be shared as soon as the University receives guidance from federal, state or county officials. 

The state’s guidelines for Phase 1b now include “in-person college instructors.” Please check your vaccine eligibility online and contact the state hotline (1-833-697-4829) with any questions.
