COVID-19 Testing Site at UAlbany

Community COVID-19 Testing Site at UAlbany

The former Colonial Quad dining hall on UAlbany’s Uptown Campus is serving as a state-sponsored testing site. The site is operated by Quadrant Biosciences in partnership with New York State. UAlbany is not involved in the site’s day-to-day operation.

Request an Appointment

The site opened Friday, January 7, 2022. It operates 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with about 225 appointments available each day and capacity for up to 50 walk-ins.

The testing site is a restricted area that only authorized personnel and individuals with an appointment can access. Individuals enter the testing site using separate parking and external entrances, and there is no access to any adjacent buildings from the testing site.

Anyone coming to campus for testing must go directly from their vehicle to the testing site and the, after completing their test, return directly to their vehicle, without going anywhere else on campus.

Use this Google Maps link for directions to the testing site. As shown in the map below, individuals coming to campus for testing should:

  1. Drive onto campus using the I-90 exit to Washington Avenue.

  2. Follow the on-campus signage to the access road.

  3. Park in the Colonial Quad loading dock parking area.

  4. Walk to the former Colonial Quad dining hall external entrance.

Student Health Services expects to be able to perform rapid tests for symptomatic students. Students who opt to use the community test site may need to quarantine, as results could take a few days.
