Professional Interests

Dr. Nolan’s professional interests include research and practice in the areas of counselor training, supervision, multicultural and diversity issues, and health psychology. Clinically, Dr. Nolan has a particular interest in working with clients on issues related to multicultural identities, such as race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and first generation college student status. She also enjoys working with couples.

Approach to Therapy

Her counseling style is integrative and varies depending on the needs of the client. Dr. Nolan’s work is informed by humanist, multicultural, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and psycho-dynamic approaches. She also values the use of humor in therapy.

Approach to Wellness

Dr. Nolan enjoys spending time outdoors, especially running, kayaking, hiking, golfing and snowboarding. She also enjoys reading and traveling.
