Professional Interests

Atara’s research interests center around the intersection of personal and professional goals and identities. She is specifically intrigued by how career and academic pursuits influence couples' communication, decision-making, family formation, and coping techniques. Clinically, Atara's interests include family and relationship issues, stress management through mindfulness, multicultural and diversity issues, identity development, life transitions, and crisis intervention.

Approach to Therapy

Atara feels a commitment to the psychodynamic, relational approach to therapy and aims to honor the unique holistic essence and life experiences of every client. Her work also incorporates mindfulness techniques and elements from behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused and multicultural perspectives.

Approach to Wellness

Atara works to enhance her strength of mind and body through CrossFit. She also enjoys reading, hiking, cooking/baking, scrapbooking, and connecting with family and friends.
