Professional Interests

Dr. DeWitt-Parker’s professional interests include research and practice in the areas of counselor training, supervision, diversity and multiculturalism, military, and health psychology. Clinically, Dr. DeWitt-Parker has expertise in sport and performance psychology, as well as body image and eating concerns. She is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the Academy for Eating Disorders.

Dr. DeWitt-Parker’s counseling style is integrative and strength-based. She has over sixteen years of experience with college students and her work is informed by psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, culture-centered, and mindfulness approaches.

Dr. DeWitt-Parker is passionate about fitness, exercise, and sports. She enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and camping. Dr. DeWitt-Parker is an avid reader, and enjoys thrill rides and traveling.
