Congratulations once again to the Class of 2020!

We are delighted to invite our graduates from the Class of 2020 back to campus for their very own Great Dane Graduation Experience on May 20 and 21. Use this list to prepare!

Register to attend the Great Dane Graduation Experience

All eligible graduates will receive an email in mid-April with instructions for registering for The Great Dane Graduation Experience.

This in-person stage-crossing experience is optional for all graduates, offered as a meaningful way to celebrate your achievements and provide the individual recognition that you deserve. You can come alone, or bring up to four guests to join you during your stage crossing experience.

Should you wish to attend, once the registration page is live you MUST register by selecting an arrival time from the time blocks available to graduates and undergraduates of ALL schools/colleges on:

  • Thursday, May 20: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 21: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Stay tuned for an email with the registration link in mid-April! Deadlines will be tight so check your email often.

Share information with family and friends

Each student is allowed to bring up to FOUR guests to the Great Dane Graduation Experience. Guest tickets are not required. Your full party will need to be present with you before you will be allowed to enter the venue, as a group. To avoid crowds and ensure social distancing, we must ask that you and your guests remain in your vehicles until you are all on-site.

To ensure everyone’s safety, you are NOT allowed to bring more than four guests. COVID protocols are such that any additional guests, including fellow UAlbany students, will be turned away. Every stage crossing will be live-streamed so that your loved ones can catch your big moment - links will be posted on this site.

Don’t forget to also tell your friends and family to tune in to the Virtual Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m.

More information for Family & Friends will be posted on the Commencement website soon, so check back often!
