Greater Rochester Opioid Prevention
The Center for Human Services Research (CHSR) has been awarded a new grant by The Greater Rochester Health Foundation to conduct an evaluation to assess the implementation, impact, and effectiveness of an opioid prevention project in Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.
Evaluation & Research
The Greater Rochester Health Foundation (GRHF) is funding a collaborative program implemented and managed by the Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (GCASA) to improve follow up services for people who use opioids after overdose or other medical emergency. GRHF has contracted with an evaluation team led by CHSR to evaluate and report on the impact and effectiveness of this prevention program. The evaluation team consists of CHSR, the Center for Addictions Research, and an Albany Medical Center physician-researcher. The evaluation plan includes a process study and an outcomes study using both qualitative and quantitative data.
