We are a research-intensive College of Engineering and Applied Sciences in the tradition of the best high-caliber public programs in the country. The cornerstone of our college, the Department of Computer Science, has a record of achievement going back decades. Our first of many engineering programs, Electrical and Computer Engineering, was established in 2016. Our Environmental and Sustainable Engineering program launched in Spring 2019. Programs in several other engineering disciplines are in development. The College has also embarked on a dual degree program in Computer Science with Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China.
From our downtown location we engage the community, looking to inspire a more diverse generation of students to pursue careers in the engineering and applied sciences. Our programs provide an engineering and applied sciences education that prepares students for careers not just in the engineering sciences, but also for careers and/or postgraduate studies in many other fields, including law, medicine, finance, management, and more.
