Professor Johana Londoño has been awarded a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship 2017-2018 (hosted by Columbia University). The Fellowships Office of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine administers this prestigious fellowship. Approximately 24 fellows, from a variety of fields in the physical sciences, humanities and social sciences, were chosen in the rigorous national competition. Fellows were required to demonstrate superior academic achievement, a promising career in teaching and research in an institution of higher education, and a commitment to using diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. While on fellowship, Londoño will be completing her book manuscript Abstract Barrios: The Crises of Latinx Visibility in Cities.
