Want to know if a company is hiring? Check their website!

Many companies do not post all of their opening on job sites, especially entry level openings. The best place to look is on the company's website. Build a list of companies you'd like to work at and check their websites at least weekly. New positions can be posted at any time.

Career Search is a resource for finding companies in a certain industry within a specific geographic area. For example; all the accounting firms in Manhattan or all the child care centers in the Capital Region. You need to register with UA CareerPath to access Career Search. Once logged in look under Career Resources to find it.

The Yellow Pages is another great resource for finding companies, both the paper version and the online version.

Professional and Trade magazines are also a resource for finding companies in a specific industry. Look at the articles and the product ads.
