Facility Reservations

To reserve any Campus Recreation facility, please submit a request through UAlbany's Event Management System by clicking here or the button below.  In order to reserve campus recreation facilities, student groups must be registered with The Office of Student Involvement. Equipment Rentals

UAlbany recognized student groups & campus departments may request to rent Campus Recreation equipment for programs or events taking place on University property that cater to the UAlbany community. To submit a request, complete the form below and return it to the Office of Campus Recreation. For any questions or concerns, please contact Recreation Services.

Locker Rentals

During the Fall 2020 Semester, Campus Recreation will be suspending locker rental and renewal services. Patrons who wish to collect their belongings from their locker should follow the procedures listed below. If patrons are unable to retrieve their belongings during the Fall 2020 semester, they should email Recreation Services. However, please be aware that Campus Recreation will not be removing belongings from lockers during the Fall 2020 semester.

1. Email Recreation Services to schedule an appointment to retrieve your belongings. Appointment blocks will be scheduled in 15 minute increments during standard business hours. 

2. At the start of your appointment block, you will meet a Campus Recreation Staff Member at the Main P.E. Building entrance across from the SEFCU building. This staff member will unlock the door to the building. 

3. You will then be able to enter the facility and retrieve your belongings and lock. 

4. Upon retrieving your belongings you will exit the facility using the same P.E. Main Lobby and notify the Campus Recreation Staff Member you have successfully cleared your locker.

When are the P.E. Locker Rooms re-opening?

We are as eager as you! Campus Recreation is regularly reviewing the current guidelines set by the governor’s office and the University at Albany to ensure we are operating as safely as possible while still providing a positive customer service experience. When a date is determined for safely re-opening the locker room facilities it will be posted on our website and social media accounts. Thank you for your patience during this time!

Will Campus Recreation remove my belongings if I am unable to retrieve them this semester?

No! Campus Recreation will not be removing belongings from lockers for any reason during the Fall 2020 semester.

Can I still use the locker room for changing, showering, etc. even if I don’t use my locker?

At this time, access to the locker room will be appointment only for the sole purpose of retrieving belongings.

Can I get a refund for my locker since I am unable to access it during my active rental? 

Please email Recreation Services to determine if you are eligible for a prorated refund.

Men’s & Women’s P.E. General Locker Room

The Men’s and Women’s PE General Locker Rooms are located on the basement level of the Physical Education building. Both the Men’s and Women’s P.E. General Locker Rooms have tall and short lockers that are available for rent. Day use only lockers are also available at no cost. Both locker rooms offer changing areas, showering facilities and restroom facilities.

PE Locker Room Eligibility

To rent a locker in the PE General Locker Rooms, patrons must be a UAlbany student, faculty/staff, or have a valid Campus Recreation membership for the entire duration they are renting their locker. Patrons will be required to show a valid UAlbany ID card or Campus Recreation Membership Card before renting their locker. Graduate students who are interested in renting a locker in the P.E. locker room will be limited to semester purchases only.

Locker Room Policies and Procedures

Locker Rental Procedures

Locker room purchases can be made at the Recreation Services Office on the main level of the Physical Education Building in room 110A. The Recreation Services Office accepts debit, credit, check and money order payments.

Locker Expirations

During the locker rental process patrons will be informed of the rental expiration date. Patrons will be required to remove their lock and all locker contents by this date. If locker contents are not removed by the date of expiration, the locker will be cleared by Campus Recreation staff. Patrons will have a two week period after expiration where they can pick up belongings from the Recreation Services Office. After two weeks, all items will be donated to charity.

Locker Renewals

If patrons are interested in renewing their locker rental before their current rental expires. they may do so by visiting the Recreation Services Office. Renewal fees are the same as the original rental fee.

Game Day Operation Policies- PE Locker Rooms

During certain home athletic events, patrons will not be able to access the men’s or women’s PE Locker Rooms. For locker room access on these days, patrons can notify a staff member in the Recreation Services Office who will assist them.
