In front of televisions across the Campus Center, the UAlbany campus community will root for the Great Danes men's basketball team, vying for a first round victory in the NCAA Tournament against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The Campus Center Commons and other locations around the Campus Center, located on UAlbany's uptown campus at 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, N.Y.

Friday, March 16, 2007, 12:15 p.m.

Background:
UAlbany is facing No. 4 seeded Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 12:15 p.m. Friday in Columbus, Ohio. The Great Danes, who are seeded No. 13 in the South Region, reached the NCAAs for the first time last season.

This season, the Great Danes (20-9, 13-3) tied the program's record for conference wins and won its second consecutive America East Championship after defeating rival Vermont Catamounts 60-59.
