Welcome to the Bioinstrumentation Degree Program

This new program awards a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a faculty-initiated interdisciplinary concentration in Bioinstrumentation. This is a combined major/minor program designed to develop students who have a strong background in the biological sciences, are fully conversant with major public health issues, and have an in-depth knowledge of the theory and operation of state-of-the-art instrumentation currently in demand in biomedical, biology, biotechnology and public health laboratories.

The Bioinstrumentation degree will provide students with a unique educational focus and intensive training as well as a solid background in public health, biology, and biotechnology.

Completion of the degree can provide graduates with a competitive advantage as they pursue careers in laboratory research, either by immediate entry into the workforce or through further graduate study in the biomedical or biological sciences.
