AVAIL - University at Albany Visualization And Informatics Lab
The University at Albany Visualization and Informatics Lab (AVAIL) was formed by Dr. Catherine Lawson, the newly appointed Chair of the Geography and Planning Department, in January 2012. The mission of AVAIL is to use the latest technology to solve modern transportation problems. AVAIL represents collaboration between multiple departments within the University at Albany and seeks to pursue ingenuity and innovation in its research.
Using a modern,
web-based and extensible visualization platform, AVAIL seeks to explore the
interaction of current planning and research procedures through the use of
visual analytics and informatics.
AVAIL has moved to the 3rd floor of The University Administrative Building (UAB).
