Social Work Continuing Professional Education

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities in Albany (CARD Albany) is pleased to announce that it is now an approved provider of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for NYS Licensed Social Workers. CARD Albany has created an online CPE course for Licensed Master Social Workers and Licensed Clinical Social Workers, the course is titled: "Responding to the Needs of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders."

The NYS Education Department now requires that all Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) must complete 36 hours of continuing education courses from NYS Education Department approved providers for each triennial registration period. This course can be completed from the convenience of a personal computer to yield 3 CPE credits for LMSWs and LCSWs.

Individuals must register and pay the course fee ($75). Once payment and registration are processed (please allow up to 48 business hours), CARD Albany will send the registrant the webinar link and a password to access the training. Registrants should be able to log in and take the training from their personal computer.

If you are a school social worker and would like the completion of this course uploaded to your TEACH account, please contact Jane Ann Worlock at jworlock@albany.edu or 518-442-4822.

*Please allow 48 business hours for registration information to be processed.*
