Areas of expertise: autism spectrum disorders, infant and toddler social development

Laura Corona received a B.A. degree in psychology from Williams College, and a M.A. in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY. As an undergraduate, Laura focused her studies on child and developmental psychology. In addition, she worked as an intern at a local elementary school serving children with emotional and behavioral challenges. After graduating, Laura began work as a research assistant at the Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston. At CSDE, Laura was part of the evaluation team for Project UNIFY, where she observed and interviewed children and adolescents with disabilities in inclusive school settings. She was also the principal investigator on a study evaluating children attending Camp Shriver, an inclusive summer camp serving children with and without disabilities. In addition, Laura participated in the Smooth Sailing Study at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she was involved in the assessment of young children with autism spectrum disorders and their parents. She is currently enrolled as a clinical doctoral student at the University at Albany, SUNY.
